Lessons and Classes..

Classes are held every Tuesday, 5:30 until 6:30 at Mt Tabor Luthran Church 1000. B Ave, West Columbia, SC.



Palmetto Pipes and Drums are always seeking students young and old, who are willing to commit to learning one or more of the instruments within the band.
Costs of the lessons are simple and can be worked out with the band and instructors.
Pipe students start at Grade 5 for the chanter and work their way up to Grade 2, where they will be able to progress onto the bagpipes and into the band.
Drum students start at Grade 4 and work their way to up Grade 2, where they will be able to play with the band at Highland Games, they will then progress to "Street Band" and finally to the "Competition Band."

Special lessons with guest teachers such as John Guery, Ed Neigh and Bill Caudill often occur and all students are encouraged to participate.
Private lessons outside of the band are also encouraged, and many of our upper members can provide the lessons.

Students and members are encouraged to engage in solo competitions at Highland Games.
